Music discovery
There's a unique kind of joy that comes from discovering music you haven't heard before. Powered by Valence recommendation technology, Roon helps you rediscover old favorites and find new ones.
Roon Radio

Roon Radio is an intelligent radio feature that creates a personalized radio station based on the music currently being played. When an album or track ends, Roon Radio automatically analyzes the music and generates a playlist of similar tracks, drawing from your library and streaming services like Tidal, Qobuz and KKBOX.

Daily mixes

Every day, you'll get six personalized playlists automatically generated based on your listening habits and preferences. Each Daily Mix contains a mix of familiar and new tracks from a different theme or genre, designed to provide a seamless and engaging listening experience. Access your Daily Mixes directly from Roon's Home screen and can save them for future playback.

Roon's concert listings provide you with information about upcoming concerts and events for the artists in your library.

When viewing an artist's profile in Roon, you'll see a list of upcoming concerts and events, along with details such as the location, date, and ticketing information.

Never miss another concert again!

Spectacular search

Roon's search provides a fast and powerful way to find music in your library as well as streaming services like Tidal, Qobuz, and KKBOX. You can search by a variety of criteria, including artist name, album title, track title, genre, and composer. Roon's search feature can also handle misspellings and variations in artist and track names, making it easy to find exactly what you're looking for.

Because Roon searches across local files, Tidal, Qobuz, and KKBOX simultaneously, you can quickly find and compare music from different sources in one place, without needing to switch between different apps or platforms.

Compositions

Roon displays classical compositions in a hierarchical and structured way, which reflects the complex relationships between works, movements, and performers in classical music.

In Roon, compositions are organized by composer. When you view a composer, you'll see a list of all their works with title, composition date, period, instrumentation, and form. Click through to a work and you get a detailed view that includes information about the work's structure and movements, top conductors and performers, as well as a list of all available recordings of that work. Roon also provides detailed metadata about each performance, such as the conductor, performers, recording date, venue, and label.

Valence

Roon adds value to music by using data, identification, and machine learning to provide rich context for music, and to help listeners engage with it more deeply. It's also a platform for a vibrant community of music experts to share their knowledge.

Valence is the technology stack that makes this possible.
